The 33rd Annual Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival, EventsThe Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival returns to the historic French Quarter for its 33rd annual celebration of contemporary literature, culture, theater, and the works of Tennessee Williams.  Events for the festival start run from March 27 through March 31, 2019. Attendees will enjoy celebrated award-winning speakers alongside fresh new voices on the literary scene. The five-day event offers a range of diverse speakers and performers, including Dorothy Allison, Jami Attenberg, Bryan Batt, Roy Blount, Jr., Doug Brinkley, Greg Brownderville, Robert Olen Butler, Maureen Corrigan, Michael Cunningham, John Guare, Silas House, Bernice L. McFadden, Daniel José Older, Julia Reed, Nathaniel Rich, Hannah Pittard, Wendy Corsi Staub, Poppy Tooker, Kent Wascom, and many more. The 2019 program includes many events such as writer’s craft sessions; scholarly and entertaining panel discussions; theater, food and music events; a scholars conference; breakfast book club; several walking tours; a book fair; and special evening events and social gatherings.

Hogs For The Cause

Hogs For A Cause, Events Don’t miss Hogs For The Cause Friday, March 29th and Saturday March 30 at the UNO Lakefront Arena. The events will support families, fighting pediatric brain cancer. Kick off festival season right … with music, barbecue and community!  March 29th – 30th, 2019 Hogs for the Cause returns as the largest. New Orleans welcomes 85 local and regional BBQ masters and the best backyard chefs to compete in seven categories: Whole Hog, Ribs, Pork Butt/Shoulder, Porkpourri, Sauce, Fan Favorite, and Fundraising Champion. Our barbecue festival is a two-day event full of music, local beer, and fundraising. Both New Orleans musicians and national musical acts will keep you dancing all weekend long to whet your appetite to try every food option from Alabama white sauce to cracklin cochon de lait nachos. On Friday night, we celebrate glorious bacon at Bacon Night, while Saturday is the main event. Join us for the tastiest BBQ festival in New Orleans!

New Orleans Food And Wine Experience, EventsEach year, hundreds of wineries and restaurants participate in the events taking place during the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience (NOWFE) This year the events will take place April 3-7.  Menus feature local flavor and innovative new creations inspired by diverse cuisines.
