New Orleans is a lot of fun this time of year. It’s not too hot just yet and there are plenty of family events happening all over the city. Whether you want to take you kids to a movie at Audubon Zoo or the Rubber Duck Derby at City Park, we can get all of you there fast and in comfort. Here are a few family events will want to bring your kids to this summer:
2019 Treme /7th Ward Arts & Culture Festival
Long known as bedrocks of indigenous art, culture, and history, the Tremé and 7th Ward neighborhoods will be celebrated for their immeasurable contributions—to the City of New Orleans, the United States, and the world—at the 4th Annual Tremé/7th Ward Arts & Culture Festival this Memorial Day Weekend, May 25 – 26, 2019.

Dinner And A ZOOvie
Audubon Zoo’s Dinner and a ZOOvie series (May through July) is a great way to spend a summer evening under the stars with your family! Cool Zoo/Gator Run will be open for a small additional fee! Bring your chairs and blankets, bring your own dinner or dine at the Zoo. Food trucks will be on-site as well as some regular Zoo concessions will be open…come hungry! On May 31 be ready for a screening of Incredibles 2 (2018).

2019 Rubber Duck Derby
On Saturday, June 1, 2019, come on out the the Big Lake in New Orleans City Park at 4pm for the Second Harvest Food Bank Rubber Duck Derby. You and your family can adopt a duck, get it in the race and possibly win a great prize. This is all to provide meals for people who need them across South Louisiana. The Rubber Duck Derby is a signature annual fundraiser benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank! Join us to watch over 25,000 yellow rubber ducks race towards the finish line in Big Lake at City Park. Family fun kicks off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 1st and the Duck Derby is at 4 p.m. All proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and our fight against hunger across South Louisiana.
