The ball takes place Friday October 26th, from 8pm to 4am at the Historic New Orleans Board of Trade

Park-A-Boo

Halloween Events Park-A-Boo is a 3 day Halloween Festival from October 26 through October 28 at Lafreniere Park. The festival is designed for children under 13 years to costume and enjoy the Halloween season. Multiple attractions allow a variety of activities that are age appropriate for families to enjoy together.  The Boo House is our version of a not too scary haunted house. Trick or Treat along Treat Street and stop by 10 ”houses” to get a candy treat. Have your face painted: its free. Get a balloon sculpture; its free too! Stop by the Story Tent and listen to a Halloween story.  Play any one or all of the 10 games to win a candy treat. They are all free to play. Bring your camera or cellphone to take a photo with any one of the many roaming cartoon characters you will find on the festival grounds. Sing and dance to the music on the Entertainment Stage. Boo-tiful Costume Contests are on stage daily: Friday at 6:30, Saturday at 3:30 and 5:30, and Sunday at 3:30. Register 30 minutes before each contest at the Entertainment Tent. Cost is $5. Every contestant wins a trophy or a medallion.  Food and beverages are available for purchase. Menu includes: Domino’s Pizza, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, pickles, soft drinks and bottled waters .Festival grounds are alcohol and smoke free. No pets, please.
