The holiday season is a magical time in New Orleans. There are so many holiday events happening as we get closer to Christmas. We, at Alert Transportation, will make sure you make it to all your favorite holiday events and traditions. Here are a few holiday events you might want to check out:

Miracle On Fulton Street

This is one of the holiday events for the entire family. Miracles have come true on Fulton Street with festive lights, entertainment and even snow. On November 29- December 21, 2019, the Miracle on Fulton Street will come alive. The elves have worked tireless to create this real winter wonder land in New Orleans. They are eager to show everyone the beautiful light exhibit that is sure the wow and amaze. This is one of the holiday events that even features some snow. There will be snow hourly from 11am -10pm and even a 30ft mega tree with a magical gingerbread display inside Harrah’s Hotel Lobby. Click HERE fore more details.

Find Your Holiday Cheer at Zoo Lights!

Bring the whole family to the zoo in the evening to enjoy a dazzling light display and winter wonderland packed with holly jolly activities. You will have a chance to check out the Gumdrop Hop and take a photo with Santa and then you can run the Twinkle Tunnel or see the Holiday Tree and the Elves’ Workshop. Everyone loves the special holiday treats. At the Audubon Zoo Lights, you will be able to indulge in holiday treats. There will be grab and go options, a full food court, and seasonal craft brews in the Beer Garden with outdoor seating. Have you been looking for the perfect holiday gift. Look no further, we will have something for everyone on your list at the Audubon Marketplace. There will be free parking at the Zoo and plenty enough for everyone. This is one of the many special holiday events in the city. The Audubon Lights event is located at 6500 Magazine Street in New Orleans. Tickets start at $10.

Celebration In The Oaks

This is one of the holiday events that has been around for a while and gets better every year. Did you know that this year marks the 33rd anniversary of Celebration in the Oaks?  Celebration in the Oaks, the festival in City Park features over a million lights!  City Park’s famous oaks are swathed in over a million twinkling lights and breathtaking light displays are scattered throughout 25 acres of the Park, including the Botanical Garden, Storyland, and Carousel Gardens Amusement Park.

There are plenty of new holiday events happening during Celebration in the Oaks:

–Mutt Mondays: A special partnership with SPCA of Louisiana:  Bring dogs with you and use the SPCA photo booth to take fun holiday photos with your friends – human and canine.
–Yoga classes: Yoga under the Lights
-Storytime in Storyland: Storyland has been revitalized this year! Kids can hear local authors read stories under the Storyland Castle
–Hilton Scavenger Hunt: Our partnership with Hiltons of New Orleans continues for the 2nd year in a row and you won’t want to miss the new and excited pieces! This year, every attendee will be given a chance to participate in the “Hilton Scavenger Hunt” for a chance to win special holiday prizes. Guests can use the game card and map to help find 6 clues throughout the park.
