Alert Transportation Welcomes Everyone From Southern Decadence to New Orleans!

For people who have never heard of this New Orleans Festival, it started forty-five years ago as a simple going-away party. As a top gay Labor Day Weekend destination, it has evolved into one of our world’s major annual events.  It is one of the largest annual celebrations and festivals in New Orleans, and has become known as the “Gay Mardi Gras.”  People begin to arrive on the Wednesday before Labor Day, and generally don’t even think about stopping or going home until the following Tuesday.

This festival has lots of parties all day and night long including free concerts on Bourbon Street, two parades, costumes, lots of contents, and just a general great time. The Bourbon Street Extravaganza, the FREE outdoor concert at the corner of Bourbon and St. Ann Streets, will return in 2016 for its twelfth anniversary show on Saturday afternoon, September 3rd.  Extravaganza headliners for 2016 are Zoe Badwi (direct from Australia), Well-Strung (the incredible New York-based string quartet), the legendary Jeanie Tracy (the Queen of Southern Decadence), and dance-diva Rowetta (direct from England).

Call Alert Transportation at 504-362-4145 to pick you up from the Airport and begin your Labor Day Weekend with lots of fun!
