What You Can Do To Keep Yourself & Your Community Healthy
Pay close attention to how you feel. Experts say fever, cough and shortness of breath are some of the symptoms you may experience 2- 14 days after exposure to the virus. If you think you may have some of these symptoms. Stay at home. Call your healthcare provider for more information. Limit your movement in the community and do not have any visitors over.
5 Steps to Wash Your Hands the Correct Way:
Washing your hands is pretty easy, but you have to do it correctly. It is one of the most efficient ways to prevent the spread of germs. Clean hands can stop germs from transferring from one person to another. Plus, it helps to keep your home, workplace, and all other locations in your community cleaner.
- Wet your hands with clean, running water and apply soap
- Lather soap in your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the back, front, between your fingers, and under your nails.
- Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. (If you need a timer, sing the “Happy Birthday” song two times).
- Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.
- Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.
The best way to get rid of germs is to use soap and water. However, if soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
