Halloween is a very special time in New Orleans. We want to make sure you don’t miss any of the fun events happening in the city in the next couple of days:

The Blood Communion Ball

Blood Communion, HalloweenJoin Anne Rice’s Vampire Lestat Fan Club for the 31st Annual Gathering of the Coven at the lavish Masquerade Ball celebrating the Blood Communion. Drink from the Queen of the Damned herself! Open Premium Bar, tables of gourmet food and Butler passed Hors d’oeuvres included in admission price. Live (undead music). Dress code strictly enforced. Limited tickets available. The event takes place on October 26th at The Elms Mansion on St. Charles Ave.

There will be a costume contest with cash prizes and more. First Prize includes tickets to next year’s Ball! Our silent auction will be benefiting Save Our Cemeteries. Make sure to visit our BAZAAR BIZARRE for art, jewelry, clothing and decor to warm the coldest undead heart….

We will have multiple Bands, DJ’s and performers throughout the Mansion and Gardens, including Paul Mercer, Soriah, Anastazia Louise, Valentine Wolfe,  DJ Seraph and The Pirate King and Queen of Royal Rogues & Renegades.

Boo At The Zoo

Boo At The Zoo, HalloweenDon’t miss Boo At The Zoo this year. This safe, fun-filled Halloween event for children up to age 12, at Audubon Zoo (October 25th-27th) features a Trick-or-Treat Lane, a Ghost Train, a Mummy Manor and other activities and entertainment to keep the little ones entertained.

The Ghost Train line closes at 7:30 p.m. October 25-26 and 6:30 p.m. October 27. This allows those already in line to ride the train before it closes for the night. The Ghost Train can be scary, especially for little kids!! We recommend a minimum age of 8 years for riders.

The Mummy Manor offers a scary and not-so-scary version for guests.

Halloween Weekend At Scout Island Scream Park

HalloweenScout Island Scream Park, the Halloween Festival at City Park, offers fun for the entire family. On Halloween Weekend, Scout Island Scream Park will feature nationally rated live performances. On Saturday, October 26th at 11:30 am, the program will start with Grammy winning artists, Secret Agent 23 Skidoo, next you will get to enjoy a performance from the Disney Channel’s No 1 rated major touring act for families, Imagination Movers, and that’s not all, at 1 p.m., Dat Band  will be live at 3 p.m. followed by the Covington High School Marching Band and Impulse DJ’s at Club Kraken.

Secret judges will be roaming the event and passing out tickets for your chance to win first place in one of the following categories: Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume, Best Couple, and Best Group Costume (3 or more people).
