Beignet Fest
The 4th Annual Beignet Fest is set for Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 10 am to 6 pm at the Festival Grounds at New Orleans City Park. From traditional sweet treats covered in powdered sugar to savory options bursting with seafood, cheese and more, the Beignet Fest will feature more than 30 beignet dishes from some of New Orleans’ best restaurants and food trucks. In true NOLA style, the festival also features live, local music performances, a Kid’s Village, Artist Market and VIP Experience. Proceeds from Beignet Fest benefit the Tres Doux Foundation, which makes grants to nonprofits serving children with developmental delays.

Bridge City Gumbo Festival
Bridge City’s gumbo will be on full display during the festival (October 11-13). More than 2,000 gallons of gumbo will get prepped and ready for festival-goers to dive in. Festival-goers can also enjoy live music, amusement rides, games and more. Aside from gumbo dishes, you can also sample a variety of carnival-style food and other Cajun delicacies. Admission is $5.
Bridge City’s “World Famous” gumbo is cooked daily at the festival grounds and over 2,000 gallons of both seafood and chicken/sausage gumbo will be prepared for our attendees during the festival. A variety of other native Louisiana cuisine such as jambalaya, New Orleans-style red beans and rice with sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, fried seafood, homemade cakes and candies, funnel cakes and many other delicious surprises will also be available.

Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival
It’s a perfect combination of blues and barbecue at Lafayette Square. Houma guitar hero Tab Benoit, the legacy-continuing Allman-Betts Band, R&B “swing” singer Tucka, slide guitar maestro Sonny Landreth, soul belter Erica Falls, harmonica ace Johnny Sansone, guitar shredder Jonathon Boogie Long, gospel legends the Zion Harmonizers and New Orleans blues favorite Little Freddie King are just a few of the great artists who will perform at the 14th annual Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival, presented by the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation Oct. 18-20 in Lafayette Square Park. Admission is free.
